Dr Cyra is amazing, she has a wealth of knowledge in regards to schools and special education services.  She attended ARD and 504 meeting with me and I was so glad I called her.  I finally felt heard with Dr. Cyra by my side.  The journey of IEP had been one of the worst experiences my husband and I  endured.  With Dr Cyra’s help we will finally will get the services and support our sons need, and she had them remove services that were not helpful to one of our child. We are very appreciative of her work and support in our dealings with the schools.

Dr. Tammy. Was amazing. She attended all our meetings and had great feedback and recommendations for the school to fit our kid’s plan going forward. I personally highly recommend her. I wouldn’t know how to handle the situation and what schools usually have to offer without her help. Well done thank you so much again.

Phenomenal! Dr. Cyra was so quick to respond when I reached out for a consult.  She listened to all my concerns and recommended a path forward. Her presence and interjection helped us to successfully navigate our situation.  I would have been lost without her. Highly recommend!

Dr. Tyra has been a godsend for my kiddo. I was new here to Texas and although my son had an existing IEP from Cali, I didn’t know anything about the process here or Texas laws when it came to special education. Dr. Cyra was there with me throughout the whole process and ensured that the school gave my son the services and care he needed. Without her, it was going to be an uphill battle with the first school as it was a terrible experience for my son but with Dr. Cyra’s help, I feel that my son is now on the right track at the right school with the right IEP and BIP and am looking forward to seeing him progress. Dr. Cyra is very understanding and she is very passionate about what she does. I highly recommend her to any parent who is need of an advocate for your child and I highly recommend every parent having an advocate at all times during IEPs to ensure your child is getting what they deserve and what’s in their best interest. I can promise you, schools won’t help you acheive that. Advocates like Dr. Cyra are the ones that help you acheive what you need for your child and they will give you knowledge along the way which comes in very handy.

We are so grateful for Dr. Cyra and her expertise in the education system.  Her knowledge of Special Education within the TEA system was by far the saving grace we needed in our situation.  If you find yourself in a situation where you are needing a strong special education advocate, we highly recommend Dr. Cyra.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Cyra. I knew after our first meeting that she was sent from up above! We have had numerous advocates to help us with our daughter who has cerebral palsy in the past. By far, Dr. Cyra is our favorite….she’s stuck with us for life now! Why? There are several reasons… She is extremely knowledgable about special education laws and her approach with school personnel during our ARDS (and in between our ARDS) is undoubtedly effective. She has not only helped us gain more accommodations for our daughter, she has thought of resources that we should request that I didn’t even know existed. She thinks outside the box!  Dr. Cyra also has the biggest heart….Her empathy and compassion for special needs children and children with learning differences has been apparent since day one. She truly CARES.  HIGHLY recommend Dr. Cyra!!

Tammy is the best!!! She will make sure you and your child are getting all of the services available and then some. She is always a phone call away and goes above and beyond for all of her clients. I’ve used her for 7 years for my son on the spectrum and know she will continue to assist as needed until he graduates from school. I highly recommend her services.

One interesting and unanticipated result was seeing how school staff that actually care about kids leans into her suggestions. It was a huge relief to actually have a functional ARD committee rather than a circus lead by checked out or weirdly aggressive admins and staff afraid of politics parents and students don’t care about. Turns out when you stick to data and the law good things happen for everyone!

Dr. Cyra not only addressed these issues but also provided the school with valuable information about my son’s PANS condition. While we are still working to get this formally included in his IEP, her efforts were a huge step forward in helping the school understand his behavior and unique needs.

From the very first consultation, Dr. Cyra demonstrates a profound understanding of special education law, individualized education programs (IEPs), and the diverse needs of students. She possesses a remarkable ability to distill complex legal jargon into understandable terms, empowering parents with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions. Her insights are not just theoretical; they are grounded in years of practical experience and a genuine commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for children.

What truly sets Dr. Cyra apart is her holistic approach. She doesn’t just focus on the legal aspects; she takes the time to deeply understand each child’s unique strengths, challenges, and aspirations. This personalized attention ensures that the advocacy is tailored precisely to the student’s needs, leading to IEPs that are truly effective and supportive. Her meticulous preparation for meetings, her ability to articulate concerns clearly and respectfully, and her unwavering focus on the child’s well-being are consistently evident.

Parents frequently praise Dr. Cyra’s empathetic nature and her ability to foster collaborative relationships, even in challenging situations. She is a skilled communicator who can bridge gaps between families and school districts, always advocating firmly but professionally. Her presence in meetings instills confidence and ensures that parents’ voices are heard and respected.

Her deep understanding of educational policies and unwavering dedication to protecting children’s rights have made a world of difference for our family. We have witnessed firsthand her effectiveness in advocating for children’s needs and ensuring they receive the support and accommodations they deserve.

I became desperate as I knew the information and rules the school were claiming to be right, were absolutely wrong for my daughter and her situation. I contacted the school board, searched the internet and came across Dr. Cyra’s website. I was impressed with the information it provided and even more impressed when I called her.

I was greeted with a warm voice, that had compassion for the work she was doing to help children and parents with the help that unfortunately the schools don’t provide. No matter the situation, she was not going to turn us away.

We immediately started services with her and she began to heavily advocate for my daughter. My husband and I only wished we would have known from day one that we would need an advocate and hired Dr. Cyra when we first moved here and she started school.

Dr. Cyra provided a wealth of information to us about the services our daughter was afforded because of her medical condition and IEP that was already in place. When we had our ARDS meeting with the school representatives and Dr. Cyra, we didn’t have to say one word. It was unreal to see how frustrated the staff became because we had an Advocate that corrected them on their practices that were hurting our daughter.

I don’t want to cause shame on the educators as they seemed to not know the correct information and if not, shame on the school district as they should be equipped to handle these situations. We were able to meet several times during the school year and our daughter was able to go homebound and complete her school and take care of her health issues.

Dr. Cyra also gave us info that the school did not. She made us aware of the programs outside of the school that is actually connected with the school that helped our daughter beyond high school.

Because of Dr. Cyra, we were able to enroll our daughter into the workforce commission and they help her TREMENDOUSLY with anything she decides to do post high school.
No one at her high school told us anything about it, and even though it was last minute, we were able to get her in!!

Dr. Cyra is not just our daughter’s advocate, she is family. She followed us to college that our daughter attends and she made sure her accommodations were in place. And to top it off, she made sure they pay for our daughter’s tuition as that is what they help do.

We didn’t have access to any of this information and if I would have never came across Dr. Cyra’s website, I’m not sure where we would be. I was searching for a private school so she could finish high school, but we found Dr. Cyra instead!!!
